These ingredients are enough for a family of 5.
2 cups plain flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
2 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
2.5 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon oil (canola or olive oil)
2 eggs (beaten)
400+ mls of milk
Throw it all in a bowl and beat away until you
get a nice smooth and easily pourable consistency. (many times I
add a few more dashes of milk and mixed after each addition)
(but not too much or its like a batch of cement that you added
that extra dash too.....far too wet) |

Ready to flip

Make sure the hot plate is hot (but not smoking hot)
(if it is...work fast). Cook the pancakes until they bubble. If they
bubble then you know they will not be used as frisbees by the kids.
If they do not really bubble, then maybe the hotplate is not quite
warm enough.
You learn by trial & error (mostly
error!)
Hopefully they look similar to the top
photo.
Add Jam , honey, banana, eggs or
whatever you want (Bacon & eggs & pancakes)
